Inevitably, we find ourselves in the need for useful weights and measures, as well as, converting grams to pounds, liters to gallons, etc. etc. etc. It can be downright flabberghasting!
I hope these useful weights, measures & conversions will take the mystery out of some recipes.

Butter measurements: 1/2 cup = 1 stick or 8 Tablespoons or 1/4 pound or 113 grams 1 cup = 2 sticks or 1/2 pound or 227 grams
Imperial Measurements vs. Metric 1 ounce = 28 grams 1 pound = 500 grams(approx.) or 1/2 kilo 2.2 pounds = 1 kilo 1 teaspoon = 5 milliliters 1 Tablespoon = 15 milliliters 1 cup = 1/4 liter 1 quart = 1 liter
