Spritz Cookie Recipe

Print This Page

I grew up having this buttery, fanciful spritz cookie recipe
for every Christmas holiday.
They are a delicious tradition.

Decorate them with your kids for a fun family activity.

You will need a cookie press with a variety of tips for these cookies.
In our house, we shaped our cookies into wreaths and used green & red candied fruit for the bow.
You could also use small cinnamon candy pieces.
Enjoy!

1 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cream butter & sugar; add egg & flavorings.
3. Sift together flour & pinch of salt. Combine with creamed mixture; mix well.
4. Fill cookie press with dough; squeeze into shapes. Decorate with candied fruit and/or cinnamon candy.
5. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until set & lightly baked.

Best Mixer.
