Mint Bars

Print This Page

Mint tastes so powerfully fresh in these mint bars.
Chocolate & mint -- a delicious combination.
This recipe is from my second cousin, Cindy.

1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup butter
1 can Hershey's syrup
1 cup flour

Combine the above and put in a greased & floured jelly roll pan.
Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool 20 minutes.

Mix:
1/2 cup butter
4 T. milk
4 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. peppermint flavoring
Green food coloring

Mix the above & spread over cooked brownies. Chill for 20 minutes.

TOPPING:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips

Melt topping ingredients & pour over mint layer.
These bars freeze well.
