This recipe calls for cooking the ingredients, but it tastes delicious fresh too, so do as you please :)
Fresh Salsa, before cooking.

Salsa, after cooking.

Homemade Salsa Recipe: This recipe makes a generous 3 cups.
15 pieces Roma tomatoes, chopped 2 medium sized bell peppers, chopped fine 3 - 4 fresh jalapeno peppers -- add more or less per your heat factor. 3 to 4 small-ish red onions, chopped fine 5 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup vinegar; the recipe calls for 1/3 cup, but I think that's a little too much; especially, when using the salsa without cooking. Adjust as you see fit. 1 tsp. cayenne 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. taco seasoning 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. salt; taste & adjust Add fresh cilantro leaves after cooking, or when using fresh.
1. Chop all vegetables; add seasonings. 2. Place ingredients in small pot & bring to a boil; lower heat & simmer until liquid is reduced. This could take about an hour.
Enjoy this salsa recipe fresh or after cooking -- both ways are delicious! Store in refrigerator; it will keep for about 4 days.
