Easy Bread Recipe

Print This Page

This easy bread recipe is our all-time favorite,
because it's soft, chewy, and dense.
I've tried other recipes, and nothing compares.

It doesn't require waiting to double in bulk, and punch down;
which, adds to its greatness.

You want to make this delicious bread, don't you?
It's so addicting! :)
This delish recipe comes from Vivian, a fellow missionary.

2 pkg. dry yeast -- 1 pkg. is 2-1/4 tsp.
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 1/4 cups milk
2 T. butter
3 cups flour
3 T. sugar

1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2. Heat the milk, sugar, salt and butter to lukewarm.
3. Stir in yeast mixture and flour.
4. Set in a warm place for 15 minutes.
5. Turn out onto a floured board and pat to 3/4 inch thickness.
6. Cut into circles; place on greased cookie sheet.
We also shape this into 2 oblong loaves instead of rolls.
7. Let sit for 15 minutes and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
