Crockpot Chicken Recipe

Print This Page

A friend, Kathy, served this crockpot chicken recipe
at a progressive dinner & it was a huge hit.

3 lbs. frozen chicken breast pieces (the kind in a bag).
1 (2/3 oz.) pkg. Italian Salad dressing mix -- dry.
4 T. melted butter -- divided.
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth

1. Place the frozen chicken pieces in crockpot and sprinkle Italian seasoning and 2 T. melted butter over chicken.
2. Cook on low for 3 hours (depending on your crockpot, adjust to medium if necessary).
3. Melt 2 T. butter in sauce pan and saute onion and garlic. Add cream of chicken soup, cream cheese and chicken broth to this. Stir until smooth.
4. Add above mixture to crockpot and finish cooking chicken for another hour.

You can serve this over mashed potatoes or pasta.
Add a steamed vegetable and you are ready for company.
