Corn Dog Recipe

Print This Page

This homemade corn dog recipe is a worthy opponent
to store bought corn dogs.
This is from my good friend, Marla.

1 cup flour
2/3 cup cornmeal
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 Tablespoon baking powder
2 Tablespoons butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Enough milk to make the dough smooth
Pkg. hot dogs -- 8 dogs
Skewer sticks
Cooking oil

1. Mix all ingredients together, minus the hot dogs of course.
2. Dry off the hot dogs, so the dough will stick to it.
3. Skewer hot dogs up the middle; shape dough around hot dog.
4. Heat oil; gently drop hot dogs into oil. Fry until dough is nicely browned.
5. Drain on paper towel.

Best pots & pans with
a beautiful pot for frying.
