Butterscotch Brownies

Print This Page

These yummy butterscotch brownies are a crowd pleaser.

My friend, Deanna, introduced them to me and I'm sure they came from her mom's great recipes.

Thanks Deanna and Aunt Donna!

1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

1. Cook butter and sugar over low heat until bubbly; cool slightly.
2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Add flavoring.
4. Sift dry ingredients, add with coconut and nuts. Mix thoroughly.
5. Spread in 9 x 12 inch greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.
