A super-easy burrito recipe for a busy weeknight. Pull this simple dinner together in minutes.
This recipe was contributed by Jennifer M. from Washington, Illinois to a Taste of Home magazine. It makes 8 hearty servings.
1 lb. ground beef; I use ground chicken or turkey 1/4 chopped onion, or omit if your family doesn't prefer onions. 1 can (15 oz.) chili with beans 1-1/4 cups chunky salsa or your favorite salsa 1/4 cup chopped green chilies 8 flour tortillas (8 inch), warmed Cheddar cheese, shredded Additional taco sauce, optional Lettuce, cilantro, olives, sour cream -- all optional toppings, but so good.
1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef or chicken with onion; drain. Stir in chili, salsa and green chilies. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. 2. Warm tortillas. Fill each tortilla with 1/2 cup beef mixture; top with cheese, lettuce, taco sauce or other optional toppings. Roll & enjoy.
You can serve this alone or with
