Sour Cream & Onion Burger Recipe

In this burger recipe, you combine the yummiest ingredients. Sour cream & healthy ground chicken or turkey, topped with grilled mushrooms & onions. Oh boy! Serve these burgers with baked potato wedges.
3/4 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 small onion, thinly sliced & separated into rings 2 tsp. butter 1/4 cup sour cream 2 T. finely ground bread crumbs 1 tsp. Dijon-style mustard or prepared mustard 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 8 oz. ground lean beef, pork, turkey or chicken 2 slices Monterey Jack, provolone or Swiss cheese 2 Kaiser or hamburger buns, toasted
1. In a small skillet, heat butter & saute onions & mushrooms until tender. Set aside. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, bread crumbs, mustard, salt, pepper & ground meat. Shape into patties. 3. Grill; broil or cook in skillet with a little bit of water. This will take about 8 - 10 minutes; turn as needed. 4. Top with cheese slice. Cover meat & cheese until cheese melts, or melt under broiler. 5. To toast buns: Split buns, spread lightly with butter & broil for a few minutes until toasted. 6. To serve, top burger with mushrooms & onions. Enjoy!
